Welcome to De Montfort University ‘Old Fogies’ dining club! We are trying to reunite many of the members of the Public Administration department at Leicester who knew it in its more glorious days!

The idea is to meet perhaps twice a year for a good meal and a general recollection how much better things were in our day! If you would like to attend our opening event on Tuesday 14th September, then please do let me know - and feel free to extend this invitation to anyone else with whom you are in contact who might be interested.

You will find a little website which is not yet fully populated but soon will be. If you want your name and email address to be included on it (adapted to defat the spammers as you will see) then can you let me know and I will stitch it in.

Although I am now living in Bromsgrove after retiring at Winchester, I am in regular contact with Pat Mounfield and have also recently met Roger (Hall) and Kris (Beuret) - hence the photo.

To be an eligible ‘old fogey’, you have to able to attempt at least one of the questions in the ‘Constitution’ section - I would be interested in your replies!

Here is the URL of the website:

I look forward to hearing from you soon - and to meeting with you again in September.

Warmest regards

Mike Hart
